Patton "Pat" D. Mosley

KINGSPORT - Patton "Pat" D. Mosley, 85, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 10, 2026. He was born in Scott County, Virginia to the late Claude and Dona Mosley. Pat served his country in the U.S. Army as well as the National Guard during Desert Storm and retired as a Staff Sergeant. He worked for AFG Glass Plant for over 30 years before his retirement in 1995. Pat was a devoted member of Providence Church in Church Hill. He also served his community as a Notary and Locksmith. Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, E. Sue Mosley; son, Daryl Fletcher; brothers, Bobby, Jackie, Everette, and Johnny Mosley.

Survivors include his sons, David Mosley and wife Linda, Scott Mosley and wife Ashley; daughter, Ronda Smith and husband Danny; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Ernie Mosley and wife Betty; sister, Rosetta Bridwell and husband Larry; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Joel Trigg officiating.

A military graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery which is located at 53 Memorial Ave. Mountain Home, TN 37684 by 10:50AM.
