BLOUNTVILLE - Richmond (Dale) McClain, age 80, of Blountville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23. He was born to the late Calvin and Charmie McClain. Dale will be remembered as a loving father and papaw to those he loved dearly.
Dale was a hardworking man and drove a bulldozer for 40 years! He loved to be in nature and fish in the lake. Dale loved making music, he could play anything, he was truly gifted.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by: six brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are: daughter, Reba Penley (Thomas McMullen); grandchildren, Miranda Penley (Brandon McIntosh), Brandy Campbell (Cody Campbell); great grandchildren, Raina McIntosh, Asher and Bayley Campbell; brother, Gary McClain; along with several nieces and nephews.
The McClain family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Saturday July 29 from 1-2pm in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 2pm with Pastor David Grubb officiating. A Committal Service will follow the Funeral in the Gardners Chapel Cemetery located in Scott County, VA.
