DUFFIELD, VA - Shirley Ann Duncan, 89, Duffield, VA passed away, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at NOVA Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.

Shirley was born on April 3, 1936, in Bland County, VA and was the daughter of the late Rev. Dale and Mary (Stacy) Duncan.

She worked for twenty plus years at Cumberland Glove and was also a loving caregiver for her mother for almost five years. Shirley was of the Baptist faith and was a very compassionate person who will be greatly missed especially by her sister, Phyllis who was also her best friend.

In addition to her parents, her sister, Virginia Duncan, brothers, John Duncan and Thomas Duncan, and nephews, Tony Duncan and David Wallen preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Wallen and husband, Charles, brothers, James Duncan and wife, Joan and Bobby Duncan and wife, Doris, niece, Robin Duncan Blair and husband, Travis, nephews, Marty Duncan, Tim Duncan and wife, Wendy, and Scottie Duncan, great nieces, Madison, Ashton, Casey, Emily, and Jessica, great nephew, Cole, special friends, Rick and Betty Edens, and her special CNA, Kaitlin, who provided love, care, and special attention to Shirley.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA, with Rev. Bill Tignor officiating and Garry Hood and The Hood Family providing the music.

Charles Wallen, Scottie Duncan, Tim Duncan, Gennis Ford, Rick Edens, and Kent Russell will serve as pallbearers.

Bruce Rhoton will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
