Sun Chan Ng March 8, 1932- June 23, 2024
Born in China, he immigrated to the United States in 1970 with his family. He was employed at Joe Gong's restaurant until its closing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an older brother; and a son, Chun Ning Ng.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lau S. Ng; sons, Chun Wa Ng and wife Feung; Chun Ming Ng and wife Patti; Chun L. Ng and wife Yoonhie of Indiana; daughter Winnie W. Ng and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Ming Lee Ng, Katie Ng, Michael Ng, Brandon Ng, and Allyson Ng; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lou Gong.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Ryan Shaffer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ming, Wa, Chun, Michael, Brandon, and Allyson.
We cannot express our gratitude enough to Patti Ng for her loving care taking of our father in his time of need.
May our father find peace and have a joyful reunion with his son and our brother, Chun Ning Ng.
