GATE CITY, VA - Theresa Diane Collins Ray, age 55 of Gate City went to be with the Lord while in the comfort of her own home on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 25, 1967 to Freddie Lee Collins and Norma Ferguson. Theresa loved her animals Marqy, Axle and Cotton like they were her children.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Lee Collins.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Donnie Ray; mother, Norma Ferguson; mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Ray; 2 daughters, Kaylie Vance (Clinton) and Chelsie Darnell; 1 son, Tyler Ray (Madi Casteel, girlfriend); 3 grandchildren, Madison Linkous, Hunter Reed and Benjamin Allen Flanary, Jr.; 1 great-grandson, Maverick Varnadore; 2 sisters, Lisa Gaye Depew (Todd) and Whitney Collins; 2 brothers, Doug Collins and Michael Collins (Sharon); 3 nieces, Jamie Collins, Stephanie Risner (Colton) and Wendi Collins.
There will be a time of visitation and sharing memories on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life service.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Angie Bishop, Carrie Ramey and Randolyn Darnell for their close friendship.
