DUFFIELD, VA - Billy Ronnie Shepard, 78, Duffield, VA, passed away, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at his residence.
Billy was born in Scott County, VA, on December 2, 1945, to the late Charlie Patrick Shepard and Anna Belle Hill Shepard.
Billy was very outgoing; he never knew a stranger. He loved hunting, fishing, and even mowing. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Durham's Chapel Church; Billy will be missed by many.
Along with his parents, his wife, Doris Shepard; brothers, Eugene "Gene" Shepard, and Claude "Tom" Shepard preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Heather Shepard; son, Scotty Shepard; sisters, Joan Jessee, and Peggy Watts; brother, Charlie "Penoy" Shepard (Linda); grandchildren, Lacy Lane, Jesse Lane, and Levi Lane; special friend, Joe Quillen; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be conducted from 1-2p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Durham's Chapel Church, Duffield, VA, with Rev. Garry Hood, Rev. Terry Rhoton, and Ed Jennings officiating.
The family will receive friends at the home of Billy Shepard at any time from noon until 8:00p.m., on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
