KINGSPORT - Gretta Mae Pannel, age 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 20223. She loved her Lord and Savior and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Pannel; parents, Jesse and Mary Reed; brother, Scotty Reed; and sister, Patricia Filbin.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Steve) Hurley, Angie "Lana" (David) Cook; son, William (Kathy) Pannell; grandchildren, Stephen Hurley, Candice Hurley Pitts, Scottie Lewis, LeeAnn Baker, Kevin Horne; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Sexton; brother, Frank (Carol) Reed; special aunt, Lois Rowlett; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family of Gretta wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Church Hill Health and Rehab.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Scottie Lewis, Cody Lewis, Bill Vanover, Kevin Horne, Stephen Hurley, Cole Hurley. Those wishing to attend the graveside are asked to meet at cemetery by 12:45 p.m. Online condolences may be sent at www.christiansells.com.
