Jane Clark Obituary
January 12, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Owens Rigsby Clark who left this world on Sunday, January 12, 2025, after a brief illness.
Jane was known for her unwavering kindness, compassion and generosity. She was the absolute best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wonderful friend. She was always there for us, no matter what offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. Her family was her world, and she loved them with every ounce of her being.
Jane was born, raised and resided in Kingsport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orgie and Effie Owens, her first husband (father of her son), Billy Rigsby and her only son, Steve Rigsby.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Robert Vaughn, two grandsons, Logan (Rachel) Vaughn and Justin (Heather) Vaughn, six great-grand daughters, Alli Vaughn, Makenna Shaffer, Molli Vaughn, Emma Vaughn, Lyla Vaughn and Nora Vaughn one nephew, Charles (Kathy) Owens and one niece, Donna Ramey.
Jane was so special and meant the world to all of us and will be missed every single day. We will live in hope of one day seeing her again. Until then, we will cherish our wonderful memories.
The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport on Wednesday, January 15th from 5-7 pm.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Thursday, January 16th with Pastor Jon Reed presiding.
