We are honoring our precious, caring, and very spiritual Janet Deloris Lawson "Gee". She was a bright light in the world and the most talented artist. She consumed God's word and prayed every day for her family and everyone else. She loved her family; her children and grandchildren were the absolute light of her life. She was the glue that centered our family. Gee saw the beauty in all of God's creations from the smallest ladybug, birds singing in the rain, and the glory of God in a sun shiny day.
Gee was an amazing artist, loved crafting, sewing, and making special drawings and crafts for the ones she loved.
Gee passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Gee was born on February 26, 1951, to Mary Ruth and Wallace David Waterman.
Gee was proceeded in death by her parents, along with her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Gee is survived by her sons, Michael and Matthew (Savannah); four grandsons: Braiden, Brody, Bradlee and Blake; sisters: Karen Horton, Brenda Woods (Gary); brother: David Waterman (Mary); nieces: and nephews: Jamie Smythe (Brad), Jason Horton, (Jaime), Dustin Waterman (Jessica), Chelsea Grubb (David), Tina Graham (Bob); great-nieces and nephews: Brian, Gage, Sierra, Nathaniel, Abby, Cale, Colby, Gabe, Zeke, Rueben, Isaiah, Cozette, Aleigha and Mia.
Visitation with her family will be Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 with Bro. James Frazier and Bro. Bob Ferguson officiating.

I grew up in Indian Springs with Janet. I am just finding out that she has passed away. We went all through elementary and high school together, and she was one of the sweetest people I´ve ever known.
