John Andrew Johnson, 81, peacefully passed in his home while surrounded by his loved ones on December 15, 2024. Born in Murfreesboro, TN on April 6, 1943. John lived most of his life in Western NY and east TN. John is proceeded in death by his parents Hazel and MSgt. Julius Johnson and sisters Betty Lou Johnson and Maryjane Bernard. John is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Beverly Scoins Johnson; daughter Deborah (Ralph) Gragg, son Steve (Tracey) Johnson, daughter Barbara (David) Ellison, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held on Friday December 20, 2024 at 11am at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 584 Lebanon Rd. Kingsport, TN with a small reception to follow.
