Jonathan Miles Reed November 19, 1979 - August 6, 2024
CHURCH HILL - Jonathan Miles Reed, 44, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Jonathan was born in Kingsport, TN on November 19, 1979. He was a member at Cedar View Independent Methodist Church and was a 1998 graduate of Volunteer High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and cooking, mostly for his dad. Jonathan was a hard worker, and loved his job, and his Mullins Company family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue (Dockery) Reed; maternal grandparents, Edward Harold Dockery, and Myrtle Ruth (Dockery) Collins, and Emet "Tweetle" Collins; paternal grandparents, Daniel W., and Virginia May (Vaughn) Reed; aunts, Phyllis Stapleton, and Nancy Reed.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Clawson) Reed; stepchildren, Autumn and Ethan Marsh; father, James Lee Reed; brother and sister-in-law, Christopher, and Billie Jill (Davis) Reed; sister-in-law, Wendy (Davis) Smith, and husband, Matthew; niece, Laken Wilson; nephews, William "JB" Wilson, and Jordan Reed; as well as several dear aunts, uncles, extended family members, friends, and church family.
The family would like to thank the nurses, Drs., and staff of the Holston Valley Medical Center 5th floor Critical Care ICU for all the love and care given to Jonathan.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Cedar View Independent Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation with Pastor Timothy Strickland officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 PM.
