Kristi Saenger Obituary

Kristi Ellen Saenger, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at the age of 65 years, after a courageous 3 1/2-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Her faith, positive attitude and courage remained strong throughout. She was born May 31, 1957, in Sparta, Wisconsin, to Cleo and Mildred Kirkeeng Jenkins. She married Alan Saenger on April 24, 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Saenger of Fredericksburg; step-children, Melissa Saenger and Lindsey Huey and husband, Clifton; three step grandchildren, Olivia, Macey and Claire Huey; brothers, Larry Jenkins and wife, Carol; Bruce Jenkins and wife, Linda; and sister, Janis Kreibich and husband, Dave. Kristi was also the best aunt to four nieces and three nephews.

Kristi is preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Mildred Jenkins.

Kristi was employed in the IT department of Pedernales Electric Co-Op for the past 20 years. She enjoyed music, mowing and being outside tending to her plants. She was dedicated and committed to helping others, always caring, loving and compassionate. From the moment she met you, you were her friend. Kristi continues to inspire everyone to live a full, active and positive life.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Priem officiating; Tammy Vitek, accompanist, and Scott Hofmann, soloist. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.
