Lisa K. Minton Dean June 25, 1971 - July 29, 2024 Lisa K. Minton Dean, 53, stepped into the arms of Jesus on July 29, 2024. Born on June 25, 1971, she was the youngest daughter of Steve and Flo Minton. Lisa lived life to the fullest and was a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She graduated from Sullivan North High School, King University, and she received her master's degree from Tusculum College. Lisa excelled in sports, receiving all-state honors while at King.
She was a teacher and coach, but most of all, a great mom to her daughters, Sophie and Gracie, who were her life. Lisa accepted Jesus as her Savior as a teen and was a member of Copper Creek (Addington Frame) Primitive Baptist Church.
Waiting to greet her in Heaven are her grandparents, Nathan and Thelma Rasnake Minton, and Noah and Daphne Kilgore Stapleton; her loving dad, Steve Minton; and special aunt, Jo. Cherishing her memory are her mom, Flo Stapleton Minton; loving sister, Gina Minton; two beautiful, precious daughters, Sophie and Gracie Dean; niece, Taylor Lankford; aunts, Nell Kendrick (Fred), Marie Addington, Carol Culbertson, Margie Poteat, Lola Dean, Elaine Minton, Rose Harrison (Fred), Deb Chapman (Tony); uncles, Curtis Minton, Joe Minton (Wanda); and many cousins and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Scott County Funeral Home Weber City. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Scott County Funeral Home Weber City with Pastors Harmon Willis and Oscar Irvin officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Lisa's family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
