Thomas Ritenour Obituary
He was born July 17, 1942, in Frederick County, VA, the son of Thomas L. and Martha J. Ritenour. He worked for many years at George's Inc. in Edinburg, VA. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown, VA. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his close companion of 47 years, Alice Compton of Middletown, VA and a host of nieces nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellen Romic and Deloris Mills.
A visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A funeral will be at Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown, VA on Wednesday February 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mary lock officiating. Burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be Gary Smith, James Compton, Lee Middleton, and Bobby Lebida, and an honorary pall bearer is Albert McDonald.
Military honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 2128.
